One day in 1987, two small children who approached me and tugged at my clothes, pleading for me to follow them. The children led me to a small bundle and told me that it was a baby they found in the street. “This baby has no father and mother. This baby needs milk.” The boys said.
I took the baby and rushed to the hospital. But along the way the baby died in my arms.
That night I wept before God. I cried out, “Why did you bring that baby to me just to have it die in my arms?” He answered me saying,
“You are a good preacher. You can preach to thousands of people, but can you love a baby?”
That small child forever changed the direction of my life and ministry. Since then Royal Kids have reached 8,000 children of lepers, gypsies, handicapped, child labor, thrown away babies and tsunami-affected children. It has been over 25 years of helping and serving the children in India, The huge need is still before us and we are working hard to turn every kid from trash to treasure.
